Ingredients and spices for cooking meat crust:
- A. Any meat stew is optional
- 1 kg meat - sliced (I have a steak)
- B. Dried spices
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- Angle 4 stars
- C. Mixed (with 1/4 cup water)
- 1 red / yellow light bulb (large)
- 1 red onion (large)
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 inch ginger
- 10 or more dried chillies (chopped, soaked and crushed)
- 5 peanuts / macadamia nuts (optional)
- D Wet flavorings - cook in PASTA
- 1 teaspoon BABA bark powder + 1/2 teaspoon water (see photo)
- 1 teaspoon seedless tamarind paste + 1 tbsp. l. water can use concentrate
- D. Optional
- 6 large potatoes - diced
- 1/2 C - 1 C oil
- 2 teaspoons chicken seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Notes:
- Dried chilli can be replaced with chili paste.
Beef Roll Cooking Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients. Cut and clean the beef. Boil the beef in a saucepan with enough water to cover the meat (do not overcook). What you can do is boil the water until it boils, then drain and rinse. The reason for the initial cooking and subsequent rinsing is to loosen the condensed blood and dirt / grime / soot that sticks to the meat due to cutting and thawing. This is completely optional; my personal preference depends on the type of dish. However, there are many ways to cook meat. You can skip this process.
- Mix all the ingredients in B. Prepare a saucepan. Heat oil to 1 ° C over medium heat. Do not worry about the oil (it may seem like a lot, but you will need a lot, and depending on how many ingredients you have in your pasta and smoothie, you may need more or less). Add dry seasonings B, leave in hot oil until fragrant. Then add C. Fry until fragrant. Add D. Cook until aroma and oil separate from pasta (oil floats on pasta). It takes about 5 minutes or so over medium heat. Keep mixing.
- Once the oil has separated from the pasta, add the meat / beef. Add 1/2 C water. Cover with a lid and stir occasionally. If you cover the pan or pan at this stage, the meat will release juices or liquid. Stir occasionally and let the meat cook until tender. Then season with chicken seed. Taste. Add salt if necessary. Cook for another 30 minutes or until the meat is almost tender. Add diced potatoes. Continue cooking until potatoes are tender on a fork. Serve with cooked rice.
- Note: Crust texture is a matter of personal preference. Start with 1/2 glass of water. The meat itself, when covered during cooking, releases enough liquid. Add water as needed only when adding potatoes.
